Machine Tool RebuildingMachines that have a reliable CNC but need mechanical restoration can take advantage of DixiTechCNC's machine tool rebuilding. It involves complete restoration of the machine's mechanical components. This allows the machine to run at its full capacity and can, in some cases, hold OEM Spec capacity. These are just some of the benefits of machine tool rebuilding. The entire machine is taken apart, inspected, and rebuilt using new parts when necessary and remachined parts when appropriate. Machine tool rebuilding adds to the longevity of the machine.

Machine ToolA machine tool is a powered mechanical device, typically used to fabricate metal components of machines by the selective removal of metal. The term machine tool is usually reserved for tools that used a power source other than human movement, but they can be powered by people if appropriately set up. Machine tools can be operated manually, or under automatic control. After significant use, machine tools begin to fall out of specifications, due to normal production wear. This can render a machine useless or adds to slow production. DixiTechCNC's machine tool rebuilding can reverse this effect. Bringing machines back, in some cases, to original OEM specifications.Computer operated machines are known as CNC, or computer numerical control, machines. NC and CNC machines could precisely repeat sequences over and over, and could produce much more complex pieces than even the most skilled tool operators. CNC machines automatically change the specific cutting and shaping tools used. For example, a drill machine might contain a magazine with a variety of drill bits for producing holes of various sizes. Previously, either machine operators would have to manually change the bit or move the work piece to another station to perform these different operations. The next logical step was to combine several different machine tools together, all under computer control. These are known as machine centers, and have dramatically changed the way parts are made. Today, it is possible to design a complex part on a computer, put a bar or rod into a machine center, and have a finished part within a matter of minutes. From the simplest to the most complex, most machine tools are capable of at least partial self-replication since they are machines, and produce machine parts as their primary function.
